The 7th Governing Board Meeting of SEAMEO CHAT was held on 21-22 October at Myat Taw Win Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw and attended by the Governing Board Members from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The Governing Board members for Lao PDR and Malaysia were not able to attend the Meeting. At the Opening Ceremony of the Meeting, HE.Dr. Chan Nyein, Minister for Education, Union of Myanmar delivered an Opening Address which was followed by the Remarks from Dato Dr. Ahamad bin Sipon, Director of the SEAMEO Secretariat. The sessions of the Meeting commenced after the Opening Ceremony at which the Governing Board Members discussed on the Reports and Working Papers presented by the Centre. Dinner was hosted by HE Dr. Chan Nyein, Minister for Education, the 7th Governing Board Meeting. The Meeting ended on 22nd October after which the members went sightseeing and left for Nay Pyi Taw airport. |
