Myanmar Historical Commission Golden Jubilee International Conference New! (12-14 January 2005)

The Myanmar Historical held its Golden Jubilee International Conference at Diamond Jubilee Hall, Yangon on 12-14 January 2005. Sixty-seven persons including 50 from 14 foerign nations read papers at the Conference.

SEAMEO Council President Visit To SEAMEO CHAT

Report on the Visit of H.E.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hien, Minister of Education and Training, Vietnam and President, SEAMEO Council to SEAMEO CHAT

H.E. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hien, Minister of Education and Training, Vietnam and President of SEAMEO Council and delegation visited SEAMEO CHAT on 22 August, 2005, at 11:00 am.

At the meeting room of the Centre, the welcoming address was given by U Tun Aung Chain, Centre Director, after which the SEAMEC President gave his speech. The Power Point presentation on SEAMEO CHAT Programmes was the next item followed by discussions. The SEAMEC President gave a present to the Centre Director and the Centre Director also gave the President, the Director of SEAMES and the Director General of Vietnam International Relations Department a present each. After signing CHAT’s Visitors Book the President and the party were shown around the premises. They had lunch enjoying Myanmar cuisine the Centre at 12:00 hour.

The President and delegation took photo with Director, Senior Consultant, and CHAT’s staff in the lobby and then left the Centre at 13:10 hour.
