	To raise public awareness in the three levels of education - basic education, higher education
	and continuing education for the community.
	To develop educational curricula and programmes to meet the challenges of the contemporary
	situation.
	To enhance cooperation by developing linkages and networks among relevant institutions and
	agencies
	To establish a resource centre and databases, and to facilitate the dissemination and exchange
	of information among Southeast Asian countries
