SEAMEO Regional Centre for History and Tradition, Myanmar (Burma), Director Meeting

The 2005 SEAMEO Centre Directors Meeting was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at Grand Plaza Parkroyal Hotel, on 12-15 July, 2005. Usually the SEAMEO Directors Meeting was held in Bangkok but this year’s Centre Directors Meeting was held in conjunction with the SEAMEO Quality and Equity in Education (QEE) Workshop on Special Educational Needs organized by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia.

The agenda of the CDM Meeting was organized under six headings:
-Matters arising from the 2004 Centre Directors Meeting
- Follow-up actions on Agreements During the 2004 Centre Directors Meeting
- Discussion on privileges and immunities enjoyed by SEAMEO Centres
-Financial Matters
-Issues/Actions Arising from the 40th SEAMEO Council Conference
-Progress Reports on On-Going SEAMEO Projects
-New Initiatives and Future Plans, and
-Other Matters.

Center Directors from all SEAMEO Centres as well as representatives from Ministries of Education of Southeast Asia countries were present. For SEAMEO CHAT, Daw Carole Ann Chit Tha, Deputy Director of SEAMEO CHAT attended the Meeting.
