Myanmar Historical Commission Golden Jubilee International Conference New!   (12-14 January 2005)
The Myanmar Historical held its Golden Jubilee International Conference at Diamond Jubilee Hall, Yangon on 12-14 January 2005. Sixty-seven persons  including 50 from 14 foerign nations read papers at the Conference.

OBJECTIVES

To understand the holistic rural livelihood in the context of historical perspective of introduction of modernization initiated under British colonization and its effect at the present.

To make a set of database for locally available wisdom and knowledge in social management and rural resource in the traditional life style of rural peoples.
To identify the potential of a rural history as one of the tolls of designing the rural development programme.
